The supporters of Mogos FC booed when Lexim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Ferro during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Borges in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Lexim FC's zone, Gustavo Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Gaspar came out of the goal and Gustavo Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the game, Daniel Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Miguel Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Gil Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Mogos FC were awarded a corner. Alexandre Fontes went to the cornerflag to take it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Daniel Mota got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Lexim FC booed when Mogos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Abel Gueifão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mogos FC's Miguel Mota didn't even have to move. After 76 played minutes Mogos FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Lisboa. After having played for 79 minutes, Henrique Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Lexim FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Fernandes. After a rather tough play, Lexim FC's Abel Gueifão got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gustavo Melo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Inácio Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mogos FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Borges in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inácio Gaspar saved Lexim FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Mota in the 94th minute of play forced Mogos FC's goalkeeper Miguel Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Lexim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Borges came free, but Inácio Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 99 minutes Lexim FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexandre Fontes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Mogos FC's Carlos Rodrigues getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The Mogos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lexim FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lexim FC.
