The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Picarra 's Jacinto Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Daniel Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Moreiras's protests and gave Daniel Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Moreiras getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Daniel Viegas hit a great ball. In the 15th minute Gil Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Leão in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Teixeira saved SC Moreiras from getting behind. Vicente Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Miranda in the 17th minute. Gil Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. When Tomás Mota came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Moreiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Mota couldn't finish the play. Manuel Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Vicente Teixeira made a huge save. If Jacinto Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When António Melo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the SC Moreiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Melo couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Leão to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Moura's late challenge caught a Picarra 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Moura helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Moreiras getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Francisco Moura hit a great ball. Jacinto Leão struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Vicente Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picarra . The Picarra fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Picarra 's Manuel Miranda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When António Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Picarra 's protests and gave António Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. If Manuel Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Leão scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Teixeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute Jacinto Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Miranda in the 91st minute of the match. António Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Miguel Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Picarra 's protests and gave Miguel Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Picarra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Picarra 's Jacinto Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Moreiras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Picarra .
