If Joel Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduardo Assunção made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Moura in the 9th minute. Henrique Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Soeima FC's Eduardo Assunção proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Soeima FC from getting a goal against them. Joel Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Pinto having to interfere. After some careless play in the Espariz FC defense, Joel Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Pinto. The Espariz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Pinto should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Soeima FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rodrigo Fonseca hit a great ball. Eduardo Assunção came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Espariz FC's Henrique Moura. But to his dismay, Henrique Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Henrique Moura in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduardo Assunção, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Soeima FC's Eduardo Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Guerreiro in the 30th minute of play. Gustavo Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Henrique Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espariz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eduardo Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Miguel Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Eduardo Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soeima FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Amorim in the 48th minute of play forced Espariz FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Eduardo Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Pinto was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 63rd match minute, Espariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Leal to maneuver through the defense. Joel Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Soeima FC's protests and gave Rodrigo Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Espariz FC booed when Soeima FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Espariz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Amorim came free, but Gustavo Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Amorim got free with Gustavo Pinto in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Soeima FC booed when Espariz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eduardo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Henrique Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Assunção was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
