Vieiro FC's Nuno Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Leite in the 6th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Vítor Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Leite in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Vítor Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute João Magalhães suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gabriel Gueifão charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gaspar Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lourenço Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nuno Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lourenço Maia to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Campos in the 53rd minute of play forced Aveledo FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lourenço Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If João Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Manuel Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vieiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Oliveira having to interfere.
