An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Machado in the 4th minute of play forced SC Videira's goalkeeper Pedro Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Videira's Pedro Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Machado in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Rocha in the 12th minute of play forced SC Queijas's goalkeeper Vítor Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Videira's Pedro Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Machado in the 15th minute of play. Carlos Sousa took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Leão. Pedro Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Vítor Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Queijas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Videira the free kick. SC Videira's Vítor Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Queijas's Vítor Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Rocha in the 29th minute of play. Pedro Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Sousa in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of SC Videira booed when SC Queijas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vítor Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the SC Videira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Fontes couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, SC Queijas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Assunção to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Queijas's zone, Vítor Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Delgado came out of the goal and Vítor Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cláudio Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Vítor Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Rocha was the one to do the kick off. Vítor Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Basílio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carlos Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes SC Queijas got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Carvalho. 67 minutes into the game, SC Videira's Cláudio Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vítor Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Cláudio Rocha scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Delgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, SC Videira's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Carvalho came free, but Pedro Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Sousa in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the game, one of SC Videira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jorge Azevedo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Vítor Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Leão was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Basílio Machado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basílio Machado really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Videira fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Queijas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
