In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pavia FC's goalkeeper Rui Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, José Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pavia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lucas Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Resende made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Neves in the 28th minute. Adelino Araújo scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Pavia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Araújo came free, but Rui Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Trindade in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Pavia FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. António Oliveira hit a great ball. Gonçalo Rocha hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Rui Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 53rd minute of the match Pavia FC got a corner. Ralde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonçalo Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Pavia FC's corner Gonçalo Rocha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucas Resende quite easily take care of the ball. José Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lucas Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Luz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Resende saved Ralde from getting behind. Lucas Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. José Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Resende having to interfere. When Pavia FC's David Neves in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ralde's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, Paulo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, José Luz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ralde's Lucas Resende. Lucas Resende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Pavia FC's António Oliveira got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rui Pires came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Ralde's Adelino Araújo. But to his dismay, Adelino Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Pavia FC's Rui Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Araújo in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Pavia FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
