Carlos Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, David Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ralde's supporters rose to their feet, but David Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bento Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ralde's Adelino Araújo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Pomarinho's goalie prevented a goal. 23 minutes into the match, SC Pomarinho's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Araújo came free, but Bento Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Ralde's Adelino Araújo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 27 played minutes Ralde got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Branco. João Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Luís Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ralde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pomarinho the free kick. The supporters of SC Pomarinho booed when Ralde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Sá in the 40th minute of play. If David Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Araújo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Adelino Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pomarinho's Bento Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ralde booed when SC Pomarinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralde's David Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Trindade in the 57th minute of play forced SC Pomarinho's goalkeeper Bento Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes, Ralde's Nuno Azevedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bento Torres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ralde reached it. Adelino Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Resende having to interfere. Lucas Resende made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when João Moniz sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ralde's zone, João Moniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Resende came out of the goal and João Moniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, SC Pomarinho's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Araújo came free, but Bento Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, SC Pomarinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Jesus to maneuver through the defense. David Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Trindade scored 2-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bento Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, one of SC Pomarinho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Pomarinho. SC Pomarinho's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
