Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Barbosa kicked off to start the match. Humberto Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Silva in the 3rd minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Armindo Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lajido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Palhais the free kick. Armindo Torres hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Jorge Machado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Vítor Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Palhais. SC Palhais's Humberto Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Silva in the 22nd minute of play. When SC Lajido's Diamantino Silva in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Palhais's goalie prevented a goal. Vítor Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Eusébio Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Gaspar's late challenge caught a SC Lajido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. Humberto Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Lajido's goalkeeper Vítor Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, SC Lajido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes SC Lajido's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Américo Cunha who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on SC Palhais's corner Américo Cunha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Nunes quite easily take care of the ball. Vítor Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Machado's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the SC Lajido defense, Jorge Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Nunes. The SC Lajido fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Nunes should have stopped the shot. Diamantino Silva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Humberto Viana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Diamantino Silva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vítor Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. SC Lajido's Eusébio Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jorge Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Vítor Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Humberto Viana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rogério Vieira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Monteiro in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Eusébio Monteiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Humberto Viana, passed just outside the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Palhais fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Lajido had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
