Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delfim Castro started the match with the kick off. David Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Teixeira having to interfere. Domingos Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Borba in the 8th minute of the match. Domingos Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montim FC's David Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Rodrigo Assunção mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Comunhas and the Montim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montim FC booed when SC Comunhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Delfim Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Comunhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Delfim Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Alexandre Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. David Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Borba to make the kick off. Rodrigo Assunção's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Simão Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Maia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domingos Teixeira having to make a save. Alexandre Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Castro in the 72nd minute of play forced Montim FC's goalkeeper António Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Montim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Maia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Montim FC's zone, Francisco Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Fonseca came out of the goal and Francisco Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Delfim Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Montim FC booed when SC Comunhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Montim FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
