The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the game, David Bessa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Afonso Faria fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Vaqueiros's protests and gave Afonso Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Vaqueiros's Afonso Faria got a free kick in the 4th minute. Pedro Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Artur Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Porto struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Artur Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Vaqueiros. With a little luck, SC Mouchinha's Artur Torres got control of the ball when Abel Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Abel Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Vaqueiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, SC Mouchinha's Artur Torres got control of the ball when Abel Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, SC Vaqueiros's Pedro Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eusébio Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, António Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Vaqueiros and the SC Mouchinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, António Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vítor Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Pedro Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, SC Mouchinha's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Mota came free, but Artur Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vítor Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Pedro Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Torres. SC Mouchinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 68 minutes into the match, SC Mouchinha's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Mota came free, but Artur Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Delgado having to make a save. Vítor Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, SC Mouchinha's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Mota came free, but Artur Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Mota's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Pedro Mota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. SC Vaqueiros's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
