Almotolias FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Ledo the free kick. After 5 played minutes Almotolias FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Pires. Bento Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasco Freitas's late challenge caught a SC Ledo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Vasco Freitas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Bento Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Leiria having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Amaro in the 19th minute of play forced Almotolias FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Bento Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 41st minute Vasco Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Ledo booed when Almotolias FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Vasco Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Luz made a kick off. If Emílio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Ledo's Paulo Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Queirós in the 58th minute of play. The Almotolias FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Ledo's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Ledo.
