With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

From a short distance, Vermum's Sebastião Henriques, in the 57th minute, tried to place the ball behind André Carvalho, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Amadeu Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Hugo Domingues's late challenge caught a Vermum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vermum booed when SC Vile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes in the game, Sebastião Henriques fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without André Carvalho having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Vile's Nuno Ribeiro got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Vermum's Tiago Porto tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Vermum failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
