Joaquim Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Galveias FC booed when Aventeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Galveias FC's goalkeeper Albertino Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Pinho. Aventeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galveias FC the free kick. Adelino Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adelino Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Aventeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, David Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aventeira's supporters rose to their feet, but David Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Albertino Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aventeira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
