Pedro Miranda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 8th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, António Leão put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Coelho. António Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Coelho having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Curia's Raul Borges got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Curia's Armindo Azevedo in 26 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Joaquim Magalhães guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Manuel Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Pinho in the 30th minute of play. Manuel Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Leão's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Curia's Armindo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Miranda in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Azevedo in the 40th minute of play forced Aventeira's goalkeeper Joaquim Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Aventeira's goalkeeper Joaquim Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Miranda. The supporters of Curia booed when Aventeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Curia's Filipe Vale tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes of play, Curia's Pedro Miranda made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Pinho was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Aventeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, António Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Leão struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Manuel Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aventeira. José Castro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Pedro Miranda notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Aventeira's Joaquim Magalhães. Joaquim Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquim Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Borges got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. David Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
