Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Grilo's Alexandre Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Freixo FC. André Moutinho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Simões. 1-0. A collision led to Freixo FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Carlos Lima hit a great ball. Daniel Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Garcia having to interfere. Alberto Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Araújo got free with João Simões in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lourenço Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. João Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alexandre Silva came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Grilo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Silva couldn't finish the play. Freixo FC's Alberto Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Silva in the 27th minute of play. David Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Neto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Freixo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Silva came free, but Alberto Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Assunção might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Assunção ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Simões having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Américo Matos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alberto Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Garcia having to interfere. João Simões came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Freixo FC's Américo Matos. But to his dismay, Américo Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Silva in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grilo were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Freixo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Esteves took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Fábio Esteves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alberto Garcia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Assunçãos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Alberto Garcia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Lima during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Carlos Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, Freixo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Matos to maneuver through the defense. João Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lourenço Araújo went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 81st match minute, Grilo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Freixo FC's Américo Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 87th minute of the match Carlos Lima completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carlos Lima a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Grilo booed when Freixo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lourenço Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Moreira's late challenge caught a Freixo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Assunção in the 96th minute. Freixo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
