Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when António Resende kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Imaginario booed when Mesquinhata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Afonso Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Morais during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mesquinhata getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Lucas Morais hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Mesquinhata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Borba to maneuver through the defense. Mesquinhata's Manuel Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Paulo Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesquinhata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 24th minute of the match Lucas Morais completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lucas Morais a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Imaginario's Afonso Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mesquinhata fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Mesquinhata's Paulo Moniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Imaginario's Vasco Pedroso got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Paulo Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viriato Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Mesquinhata's Tomás Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Resende in the 43rd minute of play. Afonso Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Mesquinhata were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Moniz made a kick off. If António Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Veiga's late challenge caught a Imaginario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Mesquinhata got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Veiga. In the 58th minute of the match André Ramos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. António Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Tomás Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Resende in the 63rd minute of play forced Mesquinhata's goalkeeper Tomás Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Branco scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomás Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Branco in the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Branco in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Afonso Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Fernandes came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Imaginario's António Resende. But to his dismay, António Resende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Resende in the 86th minute of play forced Mesquinhata's goalkeeper Tomás Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. André Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Manuel Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When António Resende came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Imaginario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Resende couldn't finish the play. André Nogueira made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Paulo Moniz sent off a good shot on target.
