António Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Tavares in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Joaquim Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingos Moreira hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Nave's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Tavares came free, but António Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Carvalheira FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 79th minute of the game, when Manuel Teixeira after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Nave's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Freitas in the 94th minute of play forced Carvalheira FC's goalkeeper Júlio Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carvalheira FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
