Hugo Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. José Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Coimbra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Domingos Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Emanuel Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Soares having to interfere. If Alexandre Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hugo Coimbra made a huge save. 95 minutes into the match, Nazerete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Mendes came free, but Domingos Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nazerete FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
