Catarino Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Manuel Pinho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Joel Anjos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Assunção made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Rocha in the 24th minute. Gabriel Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With his leg Gabriel Assunção managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Bolhos FC's Afonso Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolhos FC's goalkeeper Catarino Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rui Macedo's late challenge caught a Cevide FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Bolhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Macedo to maneuver through the defense. If Afonso Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cevide FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marco Gomes hit a great ball. Humberto Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Afonso Rocha struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gabriel Assunção didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolhos FC. Rui Macedo scored 1-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Assunção, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Cevide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Rocha came free, but Gabriel Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Eduardo Coimbra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolhos FC and the Cevide FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cevide FC booed when Bolhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Macedo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Assunção prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Afonso Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Assunção came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bolhos FC's Rui Macedo. But to his dismay, Rui Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Macedo in the 90th minute of play forced Cevide FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Humberto Setúbal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Sousa having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Bolhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Coimbra. In the 96th minute, Manuel Pinho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Catarino Sousa, passed just outside the right post.
