The supporters of SC Tavilhao booed when Adegoiva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Tavilhao getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Hugo Lima hit a great ball. When Nuno Moura came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Adegoiva FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Moura couldn't finish the play. If Alberto Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Amílcar Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Adegoiva FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alberto Costa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 29 minutes, Mariano Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adegoiva FC and the SC Tavilhao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Lima walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. José Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
