Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Caldelas's Artur Guerreiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Caldelas getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. André Fontes hit a great ball. Alberto Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rui Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carneiro having to interfere. Vasco Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Alberto Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tavilhao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caldelas the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Tavilhao's Alberto Costa got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Alberto Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rui Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amílcar Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carlos Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Vasco Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amílcar Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, SC Tavilhao's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Neto came free, but José Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Costa got free with Carlos Leal in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Leite in the 65th minute of play. Alberto Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. After 74 played minutes SC Tavilhao got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Lima. André Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Tavilhao booed when Caldelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Amílcar Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Eduardo Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caldelas's Carlos Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Caldelas from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC Tavilhao's zone, Rui Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carneiro came out of the goal and Rui Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SC Tavilhao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
