After a rather tough play, SC Ribeirinho's Bruno Neves got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cândido Monteiro in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cândido Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, SC Ribeirinho's Duarte Andrade got control of the ball when Alexandre Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 13 played minutes SC Ribeirinho got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Neves. In the 15th minute Armando Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Mota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Faria having to make a save. Alfredo Carneiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Cândido Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Faria having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Grada's Alfredo Carneiro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Cândido Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Júlio Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Andrade having to interfere. The wind increased when Armando Sá made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cândido Monteiro got free with Júlio Faria in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 56 minutes, Carlos Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ribeirinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Barbosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Andrade. SC Ribeirinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cândido Monteiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Júlio Faria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Lisboa during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SC Grada's Armando Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes SC Ribeirinho got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Rodrigues. In the 80th minute, Alexandre Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duarte Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Alexandre Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Duarte Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
