Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Espiao's Duarte Leite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Espiao's João Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Abreu in the 4th minute of play. After some careless play in the Meirames FC defense, Duarte Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Monteiro. The Meirames FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Monteiro should have stopped the shot. Rogério Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vale having to interfere. If Joel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. João Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rogério Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Abreu in the 26th minute of play forced SC Espiao's goalkeeper João Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, SC Espiao's goalkeeper João Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Teixeira. Joaquim Moreira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, SC Espiao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Abreu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Joel Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Espiao's João Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SC Espiao from getting a goal against them. When Joaquim Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Espiao's protests and gave Joaquim Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. With his leg João Vale managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Meirames FC's Joel Teixeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Castro during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacinto Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The Meirames FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Espiao were winning 0-2.

Joel Teixeira took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Vale. João Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to SC Espiao getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Joaquim Moreira hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Meirames FC's Filipe Amaral tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Teixeira in the 60th minute of play forced SC Espiao's goalkeeper João Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Teixeira in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Meirames FC booed when SC Espiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Moreira hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Joel Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When António Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Meirames FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Joel Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vale having to interfere. Gustavo Bessa hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Vítor Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Monteiro having to interfere. The supporters of Meirames FC booed when SC Espiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Amaral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joel Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. João Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Castro struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fernando Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Espiao. A collision led to Meirames FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. António Barbosa hit a great ball. Vítor Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Fernando Monteiro made a huge save. If Joel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Abreu struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. João Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meirames FC. SC Espiao were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Meirames FC's much stronger midfield.
