Fernando Coelho's late challenge caught a Estoril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Estoril booed when Camarnal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estoril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomás Tavares made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tomás Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camarnal's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
