Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Papadussos's Paulo Garcia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes SC Papadussos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Branco. Bento Baptista's late challenge caught a Ameixiosa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bento Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. 10 minutes into the game, one of SC Papadussos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sandro Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Joaquim Martins made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Paredes. SC Papadussos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 24th minute Joaquim Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, José Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fernando Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Adelino Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, SC Papadussos's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Henriques came free, but Fernando Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ameixiosa FC's Sandro Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Ameixiosa FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 38 minutes, Xavier Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ameixiosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Joaquim Martins put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Paredes. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ameixiosa FC's Sandro Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Garcia in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ameixiosa FC's Xavier Henriques got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Paulo Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the SC Papadussos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Garcia couldn't finish the play. Paulo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Gueifão having to interfere. Sandro Gueifão came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Papadussos's Alexandre Campos. But to his dismay, Alexandre Campos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Fernando Paredes made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Joaquim Martins sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 78 minutes, Paulo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Papadussos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes SC Papadussos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Branco. SC Papadussos's Fernando Paredes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SC Papadussos from getting a goal against them. Paulo Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sandro Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91st play minutes Alexandre Campos shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Sandro Gueifão and just under the crossbar into goal. Ameixiosa FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
