André Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Macedo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, António Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colaria's supporters rose to their feet, but António Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavier Henriques hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Filipe Matos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ameixiosa FC's Sandro Gueifão didn't even have to move. After 20 minutes, Adelino Jesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ameixiosa FC and the Colaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ameixiosa FC's Adelino Jesus got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Colaria's Filipe Matos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 26th minute, António Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Barros in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Gueifão saved Ameixiosa FC from getting behind. David Barros struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sandro Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colaria. If André Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When André Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ameixiosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Gueifão couldn't finish the play. When Ameixiosa FC's Joaquim Martins in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colaria's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Martins in the 55th minute of play forced Colaria's goalkeeper Albertino Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that André Gueifão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Macedo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Brás during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Colaria's zone, Joaquim Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Macedo came out of the goal and Joaquim Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colaria's Albertino Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Gueifão in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Colaria's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Martins came free, but Albertino Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ameixiosa FC's Sandro Gueifão got control of the ball when António Morais tried to sneak it across the goal line.
