SC Alrote's Viriato Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Henriques having to interfere. Gaspar Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SC Alrote's Diamantino Abreu in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Silva was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino Abreu's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Paulo Faro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Henriques when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 60 played minutes SC Gales got a freekick which was hit by Rui Pereira. In the 64th minute, SC Gales's Gaspar Silva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Henriques. Paulo Henriques yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Gaspar Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Diamantino Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jorge Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Dias having to make a save. With a little luck, SC Alrote's Paulo Henriques got control of the ball when Paulo Faro tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Alrote's Paulo Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save SC Alrote from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Gales booed when SC Alrote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Gales's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
