Lúcio Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 10th minute Bento Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manhuncelos's goalkeeper Afonso Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Paulo Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes of play SC Lumiar's Lúcio Abreu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 17th match minute, SC Lumiar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Alexandre Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Lumiar's Viriato Baptista didn't even have to move. Viriato Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Coimbra in the 20th minute of play. Paulo Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Nuno Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Coimbra in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Manhuncelos's zone, Delfim Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Antunes came out of the goal and Delfim Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th match minute, SC Lumiar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Coimbra in the 29th minute of the match. Paulo Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Bento Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Macedo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Alexandre Carvalho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bento Coimbra to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Figueiredo in the 51st minute of play forced SC Lumiar's goalkeeper Viriato Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bento Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Viriato Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Baptista having to interfere. Paulo Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viriato Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. Viriato Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Coimbra in the 65th minute of the match. Nuno Cruz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 69th playminute. In the 84th minute, Manhuncelos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Delfim Faria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Afonso Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Cruz in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, SC Lumiar's Delfim Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Bento Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Delfim Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Afonso Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over SC Lumiar could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manhuncelos throughout the match.
