After a defensive mix-up in Silveiros FC's zone, Eduardo Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Matos came out of the goal and Eduardo Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Portos short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got David Matos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 14 minutes into the match, SC Fonteita's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Neves came free, but Pedro Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Faria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Domingues went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eduardo Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Castro's late challenge caught a SC Fonteita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Castro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fernando Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Cardoso in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, SC Fonteita's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Domingues came free, but Pedro Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Castro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Américo Brito hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st match minute, SC Fonteita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Delgado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Domingues in the 58th minute of play forced SC Fonteita's goalkeeper Pedro Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes, Augusto Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fonteita and the Silveiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Augusto Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Neves in the 61st minute. Augusto Delgado hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Afonso Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Fonteita getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Daniel Abreu hit a great ball. Pedro Faria acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Armando Fontes. In the 72nd minute, Fernando Porto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Fonteita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Fernando Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Matos having to interfere. David Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Cardoso in the 78th minute of play. Silveiros FC's David Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Cardoso in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Fernando Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fonteita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Cardoso in the 93rd minute of play forced Silveiros FC's goalkeeper David Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. David Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that SC Fonteita were the better team. SC Fonteita's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
