The referee ignored Albarraque's protests and gave Cristiano Gueifão a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Albarraque getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. In the 21st match minute, Albarraque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Correia to maneuver through the defense. Gonçalo Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Coimbra in the 24th minute of the match. Urzelina's Gonçalo Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Coimbra in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, João Coimbra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gonçalo Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristiano Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Fontes having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, João Coimbra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gonçalo Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Urzelina's João Amaral threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Urzelina booed when Albarraque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th match minute, Urzelina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Bessa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Urzelina's zone, Simão Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Fontes came out of the goal and Simão Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Urzelina's Diamantino Barbosa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gonçalo Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Coimbra in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Albarraque were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simão Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Pedro Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Albarraque got a corner. Urzelina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cândido Paiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, André Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urzelina's supporters rose to their feet, but André Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When David Morais fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urzelina's protests and gave David Morais a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, André Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Urzelina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 73rd minute, Emílio Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Fonseca in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Amaral saved Albarraque from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Fonseca in the 80th minute of play forced Albarraque's goalkeeper João Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Urzelina manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Albarraque to win.
