The supporters of Pontevel booed when Touca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Touca FC's zone, Delfim Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Matias came out of the goal and Delfim Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Rocha having to interfere. Rui Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rui Reis came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Touca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Reis couldn't finish the play. Nuno Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Antunes in the 26th minute of the match. Rui Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Rocha having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Antunes in the 28th minute of play forced Pontevel's goalkeeper Nuno Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Delfim Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfredo Matias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Pontevel got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Macedo. In the 37thth minute of the game Álvaro Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontevel's Nuno Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Pedro Alves fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Touca FC's protests and gave Pedro Alves a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Touca FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Alves. Rui Trindade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Pontevel's Delfim Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes, Heitor Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Touca FC and the Pontevel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Touca FC's Heitor Lima got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Alfredo Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Macedo in the 63rd minute of play. Álvaro Antunes in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
