Artur Dantas took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Amorim. Nuno Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The SC Tavora players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Gadunho were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Luz was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, SC Gadunho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Amaro to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 63rd minute, one of SC Tavora:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Tavora. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Luz in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavier Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Gadunho's goalkeeper Xavier Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 84 played minutes SC Gadunho got a freekick which was hit by André Ferreira. If Eusébio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Abreu having to interfere.
