Lavachos's Gaspar Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Lavachos from getting a goal against them. Filipe Rocha hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Fonduras's Emílio Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Fontes in the 46th minute of play. The Lavachos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Mendes should have stopped the shot. Gaspar Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Nascimento in the 70th minute of the match.
