Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaime Veiga got the match started through his kick off. Daniel Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jorge Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Marujal FC's Jorge Abreu got control of the ball when Daniel Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Espinca FC's Jaime Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eusébio Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Espinca FC! In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Marujal FC. Xavier Vieira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Brito. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Marujal FC's zone, Jaime Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Abreu came out of the goal and Jaime Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Marujal FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Carlos Teixeira hit a great ball. Daniel Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Veiga in the 43rd minute of the match. Jorge Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Abreu having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Vasco Porto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eusébio Brito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Marujal FC booed when Espinca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Vieira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. David Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eusébio Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Brito having to interfere. In the 62nd minute David Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Cruz in the 70th minute of play. Eusébio Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Abreu came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Espinca FC's Daniel Baptista. But to his dismay, Daniel Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Jaime Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
