Quimbres FC's Cândido Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Maia in the 16th minute of play. After 38 played minutes, Quimbres FC's Daniel Azevedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quimbres FC reached it. Joaquim Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Carneiro having to interfere. Lucas Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Baptista in the 46th minute of play. Lucas Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Baptista in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Bernardo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emílio Gueifão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cândido Vale. Quimbres FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lucas Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Bernardo Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes, Machada FC's Emílio Gueifão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cândido Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quimbres FC's zone, Bernardo Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cândido Vale came out of the goal and Bernardo Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Magalhães in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Machada FC's António Lopes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Quimbres FC's Joaquim Baptista suffered a concussion after 74 minutes and had to leave the field. 75 minutes into the game, Raul Brás was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Machada FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quimbres FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Machada FC's Raul Brás got a free kick in the 75th minute. Diamantino Barbosa's late challenge caught a Machada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. Diamantino Barbosa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Quimbres FC's Diamantino Barbosa got a free kick in the 81st minute. Bernardo Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Vale having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Magalhães got free with Lucas Carneiro in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Quimbres FC's Américo Fernandes got a free kick in the 95th minute. Machada FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
