The referee ignored Freitas's protests and gave Gonçalo Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Freitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Vieira to maneuver through the defense. After 86 minutes of play Freitas's Nuno Barbosa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nuno Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Armindo Leiria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hugo Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lavachos's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Freitas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
