In the 4th match minute, SC Cabreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Viana to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Esteves having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Cristiano Ferro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When SC Cabreiro's Emílio Fontes in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Ribafeita's goalie prevented a goal. After 23 played minutes SC Cabreiro got a freekick which was hit by Luís Torres. After having played for 24 minutes, Jorge Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ribafeita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Emílio Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Emílio Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cabreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heitor Oliveira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Jorge Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, SC Cabreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Guarda to maneuver through the defense. SC Cabreiro's Diamantino Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Fontes in the 67th minute of play. Jorge Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Cabreiro's Hélder Costa got a free kick in the 69th minute. Xavier Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xavier Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Esteves having to interfere. Simão Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simão Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Hélder Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Diamantino Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Alberto Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Paulo Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cabreiro's zone, Xavier Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Esteves came out of the goal and Xavier Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Leite in the 88th minute of the match. Emílio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Pedroso having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ribafeita's goalkeeper Paulo Pedroso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cristiano Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Cabreiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Ferro couldn't finish the play. In the 98th minute, Alfredo Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
