In the 17th minute Manuel Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ifanes FC booed when Babe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Aguiar having to interfere. Artur Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Albertino Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Moniz to make the kick off. João Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Ifanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Andrade to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ifanes FC's Armindo Cabral got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Manuel Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
