Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simão Carneiro made the kick off which started today's match. Cláudio Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Viegas having to interfere. Cristiano Brás hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Gambelas's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Gaspar came free, but David Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gambelas defense, Cláudio Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Viegas. The Gambelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Viegas should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Joel Bessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milreu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gambelas the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Joel Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gambelas's Júlio Monteiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Macedo but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Gaspar in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Viegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cláudio Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Gambelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Milreu FC's André Anjos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. David Viegas came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Milreu FC's Simão Carneiro. But to his dismay, Simão Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Gambelas getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Amílcar Nunes hit a great ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Gaspar did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised David Viegas 52 minutes into the match. David Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Carneiro in the 60th minute of play. Delfim Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Macedo having to interfere. David Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Carneiro in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Amílcar Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gambelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milreu FC the free kick. The supporters of Milreu FC booed when Gambelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match André Anjos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Viegas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nuno Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. José Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Cláudio Gaspar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Viegas, passed just outside the right post. José Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Paiva in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute Simão Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Milreu FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gambelas.
