Arrimal's Adelino Azevedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Godinhacos. Arrimal's Marco Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Pinho in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, SC Godinhacos's Filipe Pinho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Filipe Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 77th minute, Gustavo Viana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arrimal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Gustavo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Arrimal's Eduardo Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arrimal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
