After having played for 5 minutes, Diogo Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roussas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Cabral took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingos Henriques. Domingos Henriques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 16th minute João Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roussas FC's Domingos Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Cabral in the 25th minute of play. Diogo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dantas having to interfere. Afonso Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingos Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, David Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regueirao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roussas FC the free kick. David Melo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Roussas FC's Carlos Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Dantas made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Diogo Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Lima in the 40th minute of play forced Regueirao's goalkeeper Miguel Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes, Diogo Azevedo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Regueirao's Miguel Dantas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Adelino Lima made the kick off in the second half. João Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. João Domingues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Domingos Henriques made a huge save. If Diogo Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dantas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Regueirao's David Melo got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rui Lima thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Domingos Henriques, a very annoying self made goal in the 93rd minute which led to 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Regueirao walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
