An unexpectedly hard shot by António Campos in the 4th minute of play forced Ribela's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Delfim Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 10 played minutes Ribela got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Macedo. Pedro Gueifão's late challenge caught a Ribela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Gueifão helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Adoria getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pedro Gueifão hit a great ball. Manuel Viana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Borges came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Viana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Amaral in the 37th minute of play forced Ribela's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Viana to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, António Campos made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ribela's Bernardo Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Delfim Amaral could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Bernardo Lima however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Adoria getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pedro Gueifão hit a great ball. António Campos struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Bernardo Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adoria. Amílcar Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Lima having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ribela's zone, Delfim Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Lima came out of the goal and Delfim Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Campos in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute António Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Manuel Viana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ribela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ribela had won after a very even match.
