Ribela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SC Serena booed when Ribela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, SC Serena's goalkeeper Gil Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Lopes. Gil Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Viana in the 98th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, SC Serena could leave the field as winners, despite Ribela having more of the ball for most of the match.
