If António Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute Cristiano Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Faria during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nuno Fontes. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Santos in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Borba saved Ferreiras FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ferreiras FC's Luís Vaz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cristiano Simões's late challenge caught a Ferreiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Simões helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Simões hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, António Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreiras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but António Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Domingues in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Domingues to make the kick off. SC Murraca's Nuno Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Domingues in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristiano Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nuno Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Murraca's Cristiano Simões got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ferreiras FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
