If Heitor Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Simão Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gambelas booed when SC Moradias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Machado in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Vítor Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ricardo Amaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vítor Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Amaro having to interfere. Simão Viegas struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Daniel Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambelas. When Simão Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Gambelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Viegas couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Oliveira Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gambelas's Ricardo Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Cruz in the 38th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Heitor Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Cruz made a kick off. After some careless play in the SC Moradias defense, Simão Viegas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Magalhães. The SC Moradias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Magalhães should have stopped the shot. Simão Viegas succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. Daniel Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão Viegas in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute, Heitor Machado had to leave the field with a concussion. When André Faro fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Moradias's protests and gave André Faro a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Moradias fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! SC Moradias's Vítor Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Pinto hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, SC Moradias's goalkeeper Daniel Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Viegas. In the 80th minute, Oliveira Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Moradias's Daniel Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SC Moradias from getting a goal against them. Simão Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Paredes got free with Daniel Magalhães in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gambelas's Raul Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SC Moradias fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gambelas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
