Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Freixeira's Amadeu Marques got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mesquita's Paulo Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freixeira's Tomás Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Mendes in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Freixeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Faro to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Garcia in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Miranda in the 17th minute of play forced Mesquita's goalkeeper Rogério Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Mesquita's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bento Azevedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rogério Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Miranda's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Rogério Anjos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, Abel Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Miranda in the 28th minute of play forced Mesquita's goalkeeper Rogério Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Freixeira's goalkeeper Tomás Bessa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Mendes in the 38th minute of play forced Freixeira's goalkeeper Tomás Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Freixeira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Assis was slow to take the kick. During this time Mesquita's players had a chance to rest. Mesquita's Rafael Assis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomás Bessa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Bessa having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jorge Mendes made the kick off in the second half. Jorge Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bento Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Anjos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jorge Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Bessa having to make a save. When Amadeu Marques fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freixeira's protests and gave Amadeu Marques a yellow card for diving instead. Amadeu Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bento Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Rogério Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freixeira. António Faro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Jorge Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rogério Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Freixeira booed when Mesquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Garcia took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Bessa. Tomás Bessa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mesquita's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
