Algaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Macedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cristiano Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Borba having to interfere. Vicente Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. José Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Algaz. In the 32nd minute, Catarino Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Cristiano Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eduardo Moura came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Algaz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Moura couldn't finish the play. Vicente Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Eduardo Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Algaz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Moura in the 47th minute of play forced SC Umbria's goalkeeper José Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Ferreira made a kick off. SC Umbria's José Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Ferreira in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of SC Umbria booed when Algaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Algaz getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rodrigo Marques hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes SC Umbria got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Azevedo. In the 61st minute of the match, Vicente Ferreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Domingues saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Guerreiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristóvão Borba was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Marques during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Algaz got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Marques. Xavier Leal, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. José Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ferreira in the 71st minute of the match. José Domingues made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Eduardo Moura sent off a good shot on target. SC Umbria's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vicente Ferreira 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. In the 82nd minute, Cristiano Guerreiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Umbria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Algaz's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
