Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Filipe Fonseca took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Joaquim Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Manuel Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Duarte Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Paicao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Miranda came free, but Adolfo Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Joaquim Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Manuel Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Azevo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Miranda couldn't finish the play. If Manuel Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paicao FC's Duarte Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Azevo FC's Manuel Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Joaquim Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azevo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filipe Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duarte Magalhães got free with Eusébio Amaral in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Paicao FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Azevo FC were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Joaquim Pereira made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Carneiro during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azevo FC! Diogo Vaz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 58 minutes into the match, Azevo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Magalhães came free, but Eusébio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Miranda in the 59th minute. When Joaquim Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Azevo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Pereira couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Paicao FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Leite. In the 65th minute, Manuel Miranda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Duarte Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Amaral having to interfere. When Gabriel Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azevo FC's protests and gave Gabriel Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. If Duarte Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azevo FC's Eusébio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Fonseca in the 82nd minute of play. Adolfo Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira in the 89th minute of play. Adolfo Lopes was a little too slow when Manuel Miranda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-2. When Joaquim Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Azevo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Pereira couldn't finish the play. The Azevo FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
