The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as António Cabral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Bessa. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. David Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Viegas in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Nostim's goalkeeper David Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Viegas. Lucas Lopes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A hard shot 14 in the game by António Cabral from a close distance when the talented David Bessa managed to make a qualified save. Nostim's players were relieved. In the 15th minute, Álvaro Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fiopos FC's Emílio Aleixo got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Álvaro Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. David Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Baptista in the 35th minute of the match. If Álvaro Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Ribeiro was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Moutinho to make the kick off. Armando Assunção charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
