Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Bessa kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Sebastião Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canhestres the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Monte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Coelho to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Canhestres's João Dantas got control of the ball when Armando Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Armando Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Carlos Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canhestres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Monte defense, Carlos Viegas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandro Viana. The Monte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandro Viana should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Monte's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Soares came free, but Sandro Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes, Monte's Jacinto Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Dantas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monte reached it. Carlos Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Canhestres's Carlos Luz got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a good free kick, Carlos Luz got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Monte. Carlos Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Viana having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Luz made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match André Leão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Viana skillfully saved the ball. Sebastião Coelho was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 58 played minutes Monte got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Coelho. In the 59th match minute, Canhestres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Luz to maneuver through the defense. After 62 minutes, Carlos Viegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canhestres and the Monte players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Canhestres's Carlos Viegas got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Sandro Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Viegas in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Carlos Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canhestres's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Viegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Monte getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Basílio Porto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Luz in the 77th minute of play forced Monte's goalkeeper Sandro Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bruno Barros fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte's protests and gave Bruno Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Sandro Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carlos Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nuno Rocha hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Carlos Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canhestres's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Canhestres could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monte throughout the match.
